Dr. Roger Brady

Co-Owner and Chiropractor

Dr. Roger is passionate about chiropractic because it gives our bodies back the power to heal themselves, from the inside out. It doesn’t add anything artificial to our life; it simply allows our bodies to do all that they are capable of. He has witnessed countless different symptoms and health issues resolve as a result of chiropractic care, which has only amplified his drive to educate everyone he can about the benefits of chiropractic care, thereby changing the trajectory of their health for the better.

When he’s not working, you’ll find him playing with his two children and his pups, Mikko and Lila. He also loves to try new recipes in the kitchen, snowboard, golf, and hunt. His favorite music is alternative rock and he even plays the drums!

Dr. Roger grew up in Omaha, Nebraska.  He received a full academic scholarship to the University of Nebraska Omaha where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and Biomechanics. He then graduated with his Doctorate from Cleveland University - Kansas City. While attending Cleveland, he pursued additional courses outside the required curriculum through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and earned his Webster Technique Certification. Dr. Roger is also Advanced Proficiently Certified in Torque Release Technique, the neurological approach he primarily uses.

Dr. Austyn Wasko

Chiropractor

Dr. Austyn’s biggest drive is witnessing people heal and thrive because of neurologically-based chiropractic care. He finds joy in educating and empowering people to dig to the root of their symptoms, and find lasting healing. He is continually amazed by the powerful impact chiropractic care has on both physical and mental well-being, and how interconnected the mind and body are. Dr. Austyn firmly believes the power that made the body, heals the body, and that chiropractic care allows us to function at our highest potential, free from interference!

In his spare time, Dr. Austyn enjoys DJing, playing hockey and golf, seeing live music and sporting events, traveling, collecting art, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Austyn grew up in the small town of Two Harbors, Minnesota where he was a tri-sport athlete playing hockey, football, and golf. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with a focus in Adult and Child Mental Health from the University of North Dakota, and earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. While pursuing his Doctorate, he was president of the Torque Release Technique club, the neurological approach he primarily uses. Dr. Austyn is Advanced Proficiently Certified in both Torque Release Technique and Zone Technique.

Lexie Brady

Lexie Brady

Co-Owner and Head of Operations

Lexie is Dr. Roger's wife. She is one of the few lucky ones that got to know and love chiropractic before she was experiencing symptoms and has utilized it as preventative care ever since! Having regular chiropractic care has allowed her the freedom to live without the aches and pains we so often hear are “normal” - even during pregnancy! She firmly believes if everyone received regular neurologically-based chiropractic care the world would be significantly healthier.

You may not see her in the office often, but she is always working "on" the office. In her free time, she loves being outside, especially near the water, hiking, working on home-improvement projects, and spending time with her children and dogs.

Lexie grew up right here in Oakdale but went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with dual concentrations in Real Estate/Land Use Economics and Entrepreneurship from the University of Nebraska Omaha. She has always enjoyed business and hoped to one day open her own. Optimal Life Chiropractic is truly the perfect way to combine both Lexie and Dr. Roger's passions.

Julia MacPherson

Patient Account Coordinator & Lead Chiropractic Assistant

Julia discovered the benefits of chiropractic care after she started working here at Optimal Life! During her holistic health journey, she felt that chiropractic was something she could benefit from and coincidentally saw that Optimal Life was hiring when she first moved to Minnesota.  Julia not only felt quick relief from carpal tunnel syndrome but has experienced how chiropractic care can benefit mental health. She has also been amazed at the benefits our patients have experienced beyond the relief they feel from chronic pain.

In her free time, you can find her working with her nutrition clients or enjoying the outdoors with her corgis, Clover and Luna. Julia also enjoys supporting local farms and cooking everything from day-to-day meals to batch-cooking from scratch. Homemade jam, butter, and herbal tea blends are a few of her favorites.

Julia grew up in Washington DC and received her Bachelor of Science in Community Health from the University of Maryland. After working as a research assistant for a short period of time, she decided to move to Berkeley, California to study holistic nutrition. She is now a certified Nutrition Consultant and Restorative Wellness Practitioner. She is passionate about the body’s innate ability to heal itself and educating people about the healing benefits of nutrition, chiropractic, and holistic health practices.

Michaela Team Member

Michaela Beck

Patient Care Coordinator & Chiropractic Assistant

Michaela first experienced the benefits of chiropractic during high school. Dancing and cheerleading had put strain on her spine, but with the combined use of muscle work and subluxation correction, Michaela was able to continue dancing into her college years free from pain. During college, she sustained a significant hip injury, impacting the use of her right hip and leg. But with consistent chiropractic care, Michaela saw an incredible difference in the reduction of her symptoms and stability in her hip. Now, she continues to utilize chiropractic care to manage fibromyalgia and maintain stability and mobility in her hips and low back.

Michaela is passionate about holistic health and has taken several classes in homeopathy and aromatherapy. She loves coming up with new essential oil blends and alternatives to over the counter medications. Michaela’s passion for dance is still vibrant. In fact, she teaches dance three nights a week for ages 3-18. Her favorite styles are hip-hop and contemporary. Her favorite way to relax is either curled up on the couch with her cats reading a book or lounging outside in a hammock under a big tree.

Michaela grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho but moved to Minnesota to attend Concordia University, St. Paul where she received her Bachelor of Art in Ministry. She fell in love with the midwest and has been here ever since! Michaela loves connecting with others and enjoys being part of our patients’ health and healing journeys.

Mikko and Lila

Part-Time Professional Greeters

Mikko (right) and Lila (left) are Dr. Roger and Lexie's dogs.  They are both Golden Retriever - Cocker Spaniels.

At the office you can find them by the front desk, curled up on their beds patiently waiting for you to walk inside so they can greet you with tail-wags!  They are both super friendly, so feel free to give them some love!

Outside of the office they love to spend time in their backyard, go swimming, or play at the dog park.  Mikko's favorite activity is chasing the laser pointer; he could do it all day long!  Lila's favorite is simply running... fast!  Back and forth, in circles, while being chased by another dog, she loves it all!  Mikko's favorite trick for a treat is "spin" and Lila's is "high-five".  Oh yea, and they both love chasing bunnies!
